heres a tip. Try drawing the eyebrows before attempting to make the hair. It should help you visualize the forhead easier and that should make your head more round and less flat.

I suggest that you lower the eyes: they're too high up. I think that would help too and what shiroune said too.

Edit: oops >.> sounds weird... "I think that would help too and what shiroune said too" what I meant to say: "I think that would help, and what shiroune said would too."

you have to give the characters more forehead. You can also try to draw your character with a bald head first and then put hair on.

i think the best is to draw real human face from different direction.
if you keep on drawing from left 45 degrees,
later you will have hard time drawing other angles.

I don't like how pokemon does their character's eyes. Their eyes are too skinny. I like it when characters have nicer more attracting eyes. I think eyes are the most important part of making anime because they attract attention.

I agree! Eyes also show a lot of a person's personality (in anime) so it's important to know how to make more than one type (I know how to make a lot 'cept I only use 1 kind hahah). This will be important if you want to make a story or a lot of characters! Reference to Tsubasa Chronicles: Imagine Syaoran w/ Kurogane's eyes and the opposite... LOL! (also, the way your character's face is shaped can determine the eye type too).

When people think of anime, I think they see the Hair and the Eyes... what do you guys think? O:

hair helps you tell the characters apart. Example: all the characters are chibis so they all basically look the same but their hair will always help you tell them apart.

as for the eyes, I think I only have two different sets of eyes that I use. I HAVE made a third set but its not one that I use. Eyes DO express the character though. That is true.
